Welcome to the . . .
The ENGAGE Web Portal

Did you know. . .

Nearly 3 in 10 girls in the United States get pregnant by age 20?

Although the rates for teen births and pregnancies are down nationally by about a third since the 1990s, the U.S. still has the highest rates in the industrialized world.

In addition, half of all pregnancies in the United States are unplanned.

ENGAGE

The ENGAGE brand identifies the commitment and vision of the Commissioners' Cross-systems Committee to listen, support, assist and nurture a family’s strengths and abilities to raise their children. ENGAGE also symbolizes opportunities to build new kinds of relationships among state agencies and meaningful connections with young people with a serious emotional disturbance as well as providing support and hope to their families. The Commissioners embrace the concept that family engagement, support and youth voice play essential roles in developing the emotional well-being of children.

The initiative links below are closely related initiatives that are all working to meet the ENGAGE goals and objectives.

ENGAGE Communications

One of the most common themes communicated to the Council from local and regional staff is the need for better communication. This need has been addressed by implementing the following:

  • Modifying and using the ENGAGE logo as a brand for the four related cross-systems initiatives:
  • Creating this ENGAGE web portal page for easy access to the four ENGAGE initiatives with a URL of www.ENGAGE.ccf.state.ny.us.
  • Creating the interactive ENGAGE mailbox at: ENGAGE@ccf.state.ny.us to facilitate an easy way for people to communicate with ENGAGE staff.
  • Developing the ENGAGE e-Newsletter to keep interested parties informed of our cross-systems work.
